Senator Rucker moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:
Eng. House Bill 227—A Bill to amend and reenact §18-9D-15 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, relating to allowing a public charter school to apply to the School Building Authority for funding for certain costs; allowing the authority, in its sole discretion, to approve the amount of funding it determines appropriate from monies appropriated to the authority for the benefit of public charter schools; requiring, in the event a public charter school closes and the public charter school used authority funding for its building, the building be returned to the authority; and addressing use of funds to improve existing property.
